No Name Brand Redesign
No Name is one of Canada’s most iconic private label brands, owned by Loblaw, recognized for its no-frills design, strong value, and prominent shelf presence across Canada.
As a senior designer, I collaborated closely with art directors, designers, photographers, and copywriters on the brand refresh—working to recapture No Name’s original spirit while updating the design for today’s market. The project focused on a back-to-basics aesthetic. We stripped away visual clutter and refined the typography, imagery, and tone to emphasize clarity and honesty. I art-directed product photo shoots for multiple packaging, focusing on clean, front-facing PDP imagery that aligned with the brand’s straightforward personality.
The refresh strengthened the brand’s presence on shelves and in marketing channels, making it feel both familiar and fresh.
